VP, Tournament Director wanted
PCGC is looking for a current club member who is interested in taking a position on the Board of Directors and managing our tournament program. It is a multi-faceted job with lots of reward and also free golf! Good candidates likely have the following traits/skills:
- Good natured, gets along with people
- Good overall communication skills
- Has a business-oriented background handling details, money, people
- Enjoys administrative duties and has an eye for details
- Has decent-to-good computer skills
- Has used typical office PC software such as Word, Excel, others
- Enjoys scheduling and working within exacting deadlines
- Has time to devote; attends/manages up to 20+ home and away tournaments annually, retired individuals encouraged
- This position has tournament assistants who take some of the work load
- The Tournament Director receives approximately $2000 in free golf/sweep fees annually and the best tee times during tournaments
We are hoping to find a candidate immediately who will serve a few months apprenticeship under our outgoing Tournament Director Bill Stevens.
The position is for 1-year minimum with extensions likely.
